Fish Telecom today announces that it has commenced commercialising of a new cloud service for the Illawarra. The new service features up to 1Gbps connections for small to medium enterprises to leverage from cloud services delivered from within the Illawarra. The new service is a global first and it is anticipated that it will be available for service in Spring.
Fish Telecom today announces that it will cease renewal of dialup Internet accounts as from 1st January 2012. After 13 years of serving the people of the Illawarra, and given the decline of dialup Internet access, it has been decided that dialup Internet services will be phased out over the next few years. Our home and business broadband services will continue as per usual. Customers who renew prior to 1/1/2012 will be able to continue using their dialup accounts until they either deplete their hours or their accounts expire. Fish Telecom would like to thank all of our current and previous dialup customers over the last decade and three years for their custom.

Fish Telecom today announces new coverage throughout the Illawarra. Areas of Figtree and Wollongong have now been added to our coverage databases. New sites in Port Kembla, Cordeaux Heights, Kanahooka and Albion Park will come online shortly.
Fish Telecom today announces that its dialup services are now available throughout the entire country at a local call rate. Users will now be able to dial a single number from any city, town or regional area at the price of a local call. We will be offering special incentives to our existing customers who refer friends and loved ones from outside of the Illawarra region who connect to our services. Customers wishing to utilize the national services will require to change only the dialup number, as all other settings will remain the same. Please note that customers who continue utilizing our current dialup number (02 42205100) outside of the Illawarra region will not be charged a local rate and will instead need to change to our new number. Our current Sydney customers will be required to immediately change the dialup number as our existing number in Sydney will shortly be discontinued, in favour of this new arrangement. Customers who have utilized our Sydney services will be contacted shortly via email to be asked to change to the new number.

Our upstream provider Sprint is having packet loss problems on traffic to and from Connect.com, Telstra and Ozemail in Australia. International traffic and traffic to Optus is operating correctly. Sprint engineers are looking into the problem. Update: The issue has now been resolved.
